  • Whereas sharing in transport is an area of public policy and private practice that has burgeoned considerably in actual practice in recent years, the number of groups and programs that are specifically engaged in trying to better understand what all this means from a more general strategic perspective, and from there we might help it to go next, is thus far not that extensive. The exception to this of course being those groups, teams and cities that are specifically engaged in some kind of sharing activity, modal or other.

That said, we can be sure that the number of groups active in this field will expand rapidly in the years directly ahead.

For now you have here the beginning of our mega source list which we intend to contact and investigate in the coming months to see what form of networking and eventual collaboration might be in our mutual interest. And in this respect we might point out that one of ourless announced goals is nothing less than through our example, consistent communications and collaborative projects to encourage and provoke many people and groups around to start thinking more about sharing, and figuring out how we can all pitch in to create a welcoming environment for projects and other good work in the area.

This listing as its stands here is taken directly from the World Streets Key Links and Sources listing, and is being used in a first instance as a checklist for initial contacts and information exchange. The following will shortly be upgraded so that each of this references is hotlinked. For you convenience, we suggest that for now if you wish to check these groups for content, you click to www.WorldStreets.org, where you will see in the left menu the entire list already hotlinked.

If you spot anything missing that you believe should appear here, thanks for informing us so that we can add and contact immediately.
